Andersonʹs Root Numbers and Thakurʹs Gauss Sums Original Research Article

In this paper we prove that Andersonʹs root numbers introduced in [1] are certain products of Thakurʹs Gauss sums up to a polynomial factors in imageqd[T]. We also present several vanishing and non-vanishing results for root numbers.
