Abstract
We solve the equationx2+7=ynfor fixed values ofnless-than-or-equals, slant5000 using the classical machinery for Thue equation and modular tools. Next we solve it for fixed values ofyless-than-or-equals, slant109using linear forms of logarithms and reduction techniques.
