Spherical Bessel Functions of GL2(Fq2) Original Research Article

We study the spherical Bessel functions of generic representations of a reductive group over finite fields. We show that in the case of GL2(Fq2), the relation between spherical Bessel functions and Bessel functions gives another characterization of the Shintani lifting.
