Abstract :
Explicit expressions for the directed likelihood statistic, r, and two modified directed likelihood statistics, r and r^{dagger}, are given for several standard hypotheses on concentrations in von Mises–Fisher distributions, and for several standard hypotheses on mean directions in von Mises distributions.
