Oregonʹs physician-assisted suicide vote: Its effect on palliative care

While a physician-assisted suicide bill passed in Oregon remains suspended by legal injunction, the state has introduced numerous palliative care innovations and initiatives in response to citizensʹ demands for improved comfort, compassion, control, and communication during serious illness and at the end of life.
