NLRB v. Health Care & Retirement Corporation of America, Inc.: A challenge for the nursing profession

In May 1994 the United States Supreme Court delivered a ruling with a negative impact on the quality and integrity of nursing practice. Equally problematic is that the inherent lack of clarity of existing practice boundaries within the nursing profession itself may have perpetuated the decision.
