Kinetics of aerosol formation in the free molecule regime in presence of condensable vapor

A numerical algorithm based on a special choice of the basis functions in the form of splines is proposed for solving the Smolouchovsky system of coagulation equations describing the kinetics of aerosol formation. The transformation of the particle size distribution as a function of time and the dependence of the dynamics of the monomer generation are studied.
