Abstract
Any soil erosion protection project involves the collection and interpretation of large amounts of geographic and other data. Visual simulation is the key to improve the design efficiency and management of the project. In this research, the digital terrain models were established with triangulated irregular network (TIN) model using Delaunay triangulation. The entity models were established with a parametric modeling method. The models were matched to show the actual terrain based on GIS mapping. Taking the soil erosion protection project of the Wuni River power station in the Supa River basin as an example, a visual simulation was created. The finished scene was visualized in three-dimensional animation, providing a scientific, effective and visual analyzing method for supporting the management and decision-making associated with the construction.
