About Completeness for a Class of Unbounded Operators

In this paper we consider a class of unbounded operators that appear naturally in the study of delay equations. We shall give necessary and sufficient conditions such that the system of eigenvectors and generalized eigenvectors for operators from this class is complete. As applications we shall consider examples which include both autonomous and periodic delay equations.
