Abstract
This article presents a new microscale Lagrangian particle model for the atmospheric dispersion of primary pollutants in an urban topography. It allows to study the dispersion within a given urban topography, when the microscale wind field and the turbulence structure are known. The model is based on the algorithms proposed by Thomson for the Lagrangian description of nonhomogeneous turbulence.
A specialization of the model to the case of a street canyon and the results of the sensitivity analysis and the first validation tests towards the measurements carried out in two experimental campaigns are shown. Also presented is a comparison with the profiles of the concentration fields calculated by CPBM and CANYON models. The results obtained are very encouraging.
