Field trials of the TEOM® and Partisol for PM10 monitoring in the St Austell china clay area, Cornwall, UK

A comparison of particulate matter monitoring using a 1400a series TEOM and a 2000 series Partisol is reported for an area where airborne particulate matter content is dominated by geological material. A non-linear relationship (Partisol=0.6989TEOM1.179, R=0.961, n=100) was found to give the best description of the relationship between these two instruments. Some comparison data for the MINIVOL are also reported.
