Vegetation of some Red Sea Islands of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

A preliminary vegetation survey of the Umm-al-Qamari islands off the Qunfidah coast and the Farasan islands off the Jizan coast (i.e. Garasan Island, Sajid Island, Zifaf Island and Dumsuq Island) was carried out in June, 1988. The paper reports on the geography, the climate, and vegetation of these islands which are located in the Saudi Arabian waters of the Red Sea between the continents of Asia and Africa.
