Environmental impacts analysis of desertification through remote sensing and land based information system

The study presented here is an analysis of the environmental impacts leading to desertification. Landsat TM, Landsat MSS and IRS-LISS-II data were analysed, along with surface (meteorological) and statistical data with the aid of a Geographical Information System, indicating the different degrees of severity of desertification
