Termites (Isoptera) from the Darfur region of the Sudan with comments on their pest status

The distribution of termites in the Darfur region of Sudan is presented, based on surveys carried out by the authors between 1985 and 1989, and on collections from this region held by the Natural History Museum, London. Six new species are listed for the region. Damage by pest genera to crops, especially groundnuts is also described.
