Abstract :
An automatic method is described for the determination of total CO2 in sea, estuarine and fresh waters based on infrared detection. The method allows for the determination of total CO2 in the range of 10 μM-3 mM CO2 and avoids errors inherent in alternative methods based on total alkalinity measurements.
