Abstract :
A preliminary study on the trace elements (As, Hg, Pb, Cd, Cu, Cr, Fe, Mn and Zn) and natural radioactivity has been made to determine from drinking water in eight locations of sampling site. Attention has been focused in particular on trace elements for most of which no data were available in the studied area. The obtained results showed that, in general, the trace elements concentration in eight sampling site from drinking water did not exceed WHO limits. It was observed that global activity for sampling site 2–4 did exceed WHO limits, and then further investigations are needed; only one location for one sampling site was the global α activity within limits, in others WHO guidelines were not reached.
