Abstract :
The leaching properties of major elements from stabilised municipal solid waste incinerator (MSWI) fly ash conditioned with ordinary Portland cement were investigated as a function of time up to 544 days using a Dutch tank leaching test, NEN 7345, and a modified form of this test in which pH was controlled by bubbling air through the leachant. In both cases a transition between short-term regimes of relatively rapid leaching and a longer-term regime, commencing after 10 days to 100 days, can be distinguished. ©
