The solubility of methyl bromide in pure water, 35%0 sodium chloride and seawater

A simple gas-liquid membrane equilibrator has been used to determine the solubility of methyl bromide in pure water, 35%c NaCl, and seawater over the temperature range from 0° to 30°C. The measurements have an accuracy of ± 2% and a relative precision of 40/c, The data have been fit to a temperature- and salinity-dependent expression to provide solubilities for methyl bromide in pure water, seawater, and NaCI solutions.
