Economic Position in the Naser Khosrow’s Itinerary

ABSTRACT: The writing of Itinerary as travel has an old history. And consist of manʹs travels based on various motives. Itinerary writing account as geography writing but the subjects of Itinerary is not limited only to the information of geography.Apparently, the oldest diary in Persian language is belong to the NaserKhosrow that explained his travels from Khorasan to Mecca and come back to his birthplace. Research on the prices in the itinerary, which will lead us to this goal that what says NaserKhosrowabout goods and merchants in his time? He mentioned “Man”about the weight on a scale. Apparently his aim was Man that he knows in the Khorasan. Indeed he has two points about the Dinar: one Nishaboor’sDinar another Maghreb’s Dinar, is not much difference between them.As NaserKhosrow stated in the itinerary:» three Maghreb’s dinar equivalent with three and half of Nishaboories«.
