Abstract :
ABSTRACT: In order to evaluate seven advance barley lines (Hordeum vulgar): (MBD-85-3, MBD-85-6, MBD-85-8, MBD-85-14, MB-85-3, MB-85-5, MB-85-18) and two control cultivars (Nosrat and Yosef) under drought stress and non-stress conditions, carried out two separate experiments in a randomized complete block design with three replications during 2009-2010. Some traits such as (PLH), (FLL), (SN/S), (DH), (DM), (TKW) and (GY) were meager and evaluated. The results showed differences between barley lines for all studied traits. S1×MBD-85-8 interaction effect had the highest and S2×MBD-85-3 interaction effects had the lowest GY. The highest PLH was related to S1×NOSRAT interaction effect and the lowest PLH were related to S2×MBD-85-3 interaction effects. S1×MB-85-18 and S2×MBD-85-14 interaction effects had the highest and lowest FLL respectively. The highest and lowest SN/S related to S1×MB-85-5 and S2×MBD-85-3 interaction effects, respectively. S1×MB-85-5 had the highest and S2×MBD-85-14 had the lowest DH. S1MB-85-18 interaction effect had the highest DM and S2×MBD-85-14 had the lowest DM. S1×MBD-85-6 interaction effect had the highest TKW and S2×MB-85-3 had the lowest amount of TKW
