Social and economic evaluation of possibility of Second crop in paddy lands of Gilan

ABSTRACT: Agriculture has a considerable portion of occupation and production in Gilan. In order to take the advantages of existing capacities in this sector, there is a need to take advantages of all of the efficient factors in growing and developing agriculture sector using comprehensive programming in order to increase farmers’ production and income. In this research we show social and economic aspects of second crop in paddy lands of Gilan As a proper solution to increase farmers’ income and development of the province agriculture. According to the results of this study, we can provide proper situation for second crop applying supportive and encouraging policies like distributing related inputs with proper prices, putting low-interest loans, increasing mechanization coefficient, Presenting modified seeds, reaching maximum production, creating small and medium processing and complementary industries in order to decrease costs and prime costs, adjusting market and …., and also use the most capacities increasing productivity and along with making more job opportunities improve farmers’ income. In order to maximizing the accuracy factor in economic analyses, in achieving crops with the most characteristics of the population that their results can be generalized to the whole society, stratified sampling is used.
