Investigation of growth analysis in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) cultivars under drought stress and Zn fertilizer

ABSTRACT: This study performed In order to evaluate the effects of drought stress and Zinc fertilizer on growth indices of four cultivars of chickpea.
The experiment was a split- factorial design with three replications. The main treatment was drought stress (severe drought stress, moderate drought stress and no drought stress). The sub treatment was four cultivars of chickpea, Azad, Bivanij, Hashem and ILC482 and 2 Zn levels (using hand sprayer 1 L and control). Results showed that drought stress affected on accumulation of dry matter and LAI, CGR, RGR and NAR and reduced them in chickpea cltivars. Also, LAR decreased after short time increasing. Non stress condition caused to improve growth stages and increase accumulation of dry matter and yield in chickpea.
