Abstract
N-Terminal analogs of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) were synthesized and assayed for receptor binding affinity. Substitutions in the α-helical region of CGRP with a linear ethylene glycol containing amino acid, or with a β-strand forming sequence resulted in analogs which showed significant affinity for the receptor.
