Abstract :
Several acyclic and cyclic dipeptidyl acetals were synthesized. Among these, N-[N-benzyloxycarbonyl-(S)-prolyl]-(S)-prolinal dimethyl acetal 8 was shown to be a potent inhibitor of prolyl endopeptidase.
