Abstract :
The pharmacological activity of a series of 9,10-dihydro-9,10-methanoanthracene methylene amines which function as mixed dopaminergic (D1/D2) and serotonergic (5HT2) antagonists is described. The work resulted in a putative atypical antipsychotic, ZD3638, of novel structure and pharmacological profile.
