Abstract :
The nano composite of single wall (SWCNTs), multiwall (MWCNTs), multiwall carboxyl-modified carbon nanotubes (MWNT-COOHs) (FCNTs) and carbon vulcan with Silver nano particles were prepared by wet chemical process. The dispersion and structure of the silver in the synthesized composites determined scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Silver nano particles were virtually fixed on the surface of the tubes. Nanocomposites have excellent antibacterial activities against Escherichia coli (E. Coli) so in vitro antibacterial tests were performed to determine the antibacterial capability of the Ag/CNTs nanocomposites.
