Abstract :
In this study, detailed load analysis was performed for crankshaft of samand engine after that a Finite Element routine was used to calculate stresses under the maximum compression and tension loadings in the connecting rod which were then used for critical points evaluation. After calculation stresses fatigue cycle was determined. For extracting forces ADAMS/Engine software was used and for stress analysis MSC/Nastran and MSC/Nastran software were used. Fatigue cycle were extracted for critical stresses by equations. Maximum stress was obtained equal with 69.6 MPa and least fatigue cycle was obtained equal 108 cycles. These results show proper design of studied crankshaft and show that this crankshaft does not need optimization.
