Environmental effectiveness of training-extension courses from the Guilan farmers view point

The present study is of the survey type which has been carried out in five cities of Guilan province using descriptive, analytic method for showing the impact of training-extension course in matters relating to environmental protection. Field and library studies method have been used for data collection. The instrument is a questionnaire. The study population comprised all farmers under the agricultural service centers of Astaneh Ashrafieh, Talesh, Rasht, Rudsar and Someʹesara, counting 223280 people. According to the Cochran formula, the sample population was determined 383 people for the farmers. For statistical analysis and proof of the hypothesis, Chi-square test to calculate the relationship between variables and Spearman test to calculate the intensity of the variable relationship were used. Results have shown the significant relationship between variable and effectiveness of the training-extension course in the environmental protection from farmers perspective.
