Solid-phase synthesis of thrombin inhibitors

A newly developed convergent solid-phase synthesis provides efficient access to thrombin inhibitors of the D-Phe-Pro-Arg type. Members of the synthesized libraries inhibited thrombin with IC50s in the nanomolar range.
