Abstract :
The most important impact of Iranian culture on Islamic culture is the spread of Persian
language and literature on Arabʹs language and culture. Islamic authors have gained most of their
knowledge about Iranʹs pre-Islamic history and especially the history of Sassanid from Khodaynameh.
The Pahlavi name of Khodaynameh is " Khvataynamak ", meaning the memoir and permanent jobs
of the ancient Persian kings in which saga is the translation and combination of the aforementioned
word alongside the Arabic equivalent of the word "Syrolmolook". The origin of Khodaynameh after
translation into Arabic is lost and just a name of which has been survived in other Persian and Arabic
texts. After the victory of independence movements in Iran and their penetration into the Caliphate
system, the formulation of ideas and the history and culture of ancient Persiaʹs revival were formed, in
this way, large Iranian families became pioneers and Khodaynameh turned into the cornerstone of
rebuilding the ancient Iranian history and development of sagas in poetry and prose. Data gathering and
collecting information in this article were based on a descriptive and analytical study and library
resources. The aim of this study was to identify the content of Khodaynameh, its impact on the writers of
the Islamic period, and its role in the revival of Iranian culture and civilization.
