Silent myocardial rupture in a patient with diabetes and Addisonʹs disease

We present a case of left ventricular rupture and formation of a pseudoaneurysm after silent myocardial infarction in a patient with Schmidt syndrome (polyglandular deficiency syndrome including Addisonʹs disease, lymphocytic thyroiditis and diabetes mellitus). This case illustrates the possibility of myocardial rupture without hemodynamic collapse and a possible role of chronic steroid substitution.
