Myocardial stunning in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with normal coronary arteries

A patient with an obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and normal epicardial coronary arteries developed myocardial ischemia accompanied by a transitory apical akinesia. This wall motion dysfunction persisted for hours after the relief of myocardial ischemia.
