Primary stenting to a 100-year-old female with acute myocardial infarction

Because of the high complication rates of coronary intervention and intra aortic balloon counterpulsation, we seldom perform invasive strategies for very elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome and heart failure. We herein report a rare case of a 100-year-old female with non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome complicated by heart failure, who was successfully treated by stenting to the proximal left circumflex artery in the left main bifurcation lesion and intra aortic balloon pumping.
