On Buchsbaum algebras Original Research Article

The aim of this paper is to prove a statement about the existence of Buchsbaum algebras in terms of a new invariant introduced and studied by Goto [3], see also [1]. Our paper shows that this invariant provides the correct way of approaching the description of Buchsbaum algebras. In order to prove our theorems, we need some applications of the theory of Gröbner bases. Moreover, we describe Gotoʹs invariant in terms of Gröbner bases.
