The field of rational numbers is algebraically closed in some of its topological completions Original Research Article

Some examples of locally unbounded topologizations of the field of rational numbers are given. Their completions are fields in which the rational number field is algebraically closed. A similar development is given for the ring of rational integers and other domains.
