Pairs of domains where all intermediate domains are Jaffard Original Research Article

In this paper we deal with the study of pairs of rings where all intermediate rings are Jaffard. Furthermore, we introduce a new invariant allowing us to compute the number of Jaffard domains between any given extension of integral domains Asubset of or equal toB. We also give a new characterization of valuation domains and one-dimensional Prüfer domains and provide many examples to illustrate the theory.
