Vertical components and flatness of Nash mappings

We prove the following criterion for flatness of Nash morphisms: Let fξ : Xξ→Yη be a Nash morphism of reduced Nash germs with Xξ of pure dimension and Yη smooth of dimension n. Then fξ is flat if and only if the nth analytic tensor power image is a torsion-free image-module.
