CoGalois and strongly coGalois actions

For a profinite group acting continuously on a discrete quasicyclic group, certain classes of closed subgroups called coGalois and strongly coGalois having natural field theoretic interpretations are investigated. Criteria for closed subgroups being coGalois and strongly coGalois as well as a complete classification of the associated actions are given.
