Primitivity of generalized circulant Boolean matrices Original Research Article

Let Gu be the semigroup of n × n generalized circulant Boolean matrices and G(Jn) the set of all primitive matrices in Gn. Necessary and sufficient conditions for an r-circulant Boolean matrix to be a primitive matrix are given. We also show that G(Jn) is a subsemigroup of Gn.
