Möbius functions of the shift and extremal operators Original Research Article

Matrix representations fo teh extremal operator S* Ker p(S*) deduced previously from lengthy calculations in H2 are shown to be consequences of simple identities for Möbius functions (with matrix coefficients) of the shift operator.
