Abstract :
India is a country with diverse traditions and customs. Women for ages have been
subjugated and subordinated in Indian societies. Women were made to believe that
they have taken birth to do all household chores and men are made to earn for the
family. The different religions like Hinduism, Islamism, and Jainism and so on
proscribe women’s freedom to undertake any job of women’s choice. Therefore
women were kept outside the purview of job market. The participation of women as
workers and women’s education was negligible. Indian women is distinct from their

and house wives inspire of their professional responsibilities. They are skilled at
blending professional excellence and traditional love for home harmoniously. This

of women executives working in branch offices of Commercial Banks in Puducherry.
