Economic Problems of Electronically Banking: A Multiple Response Analysis from North of Iran

ABSTRACT: This study was conducted in order to find out the economic problems of electronically banking in north of Iran. This study was carried out by descriptive survey at 2012. In this study were used from 39 experts and staff with a history of Guilan banks in north of Iran. Questionnaire was used as the main tool to collect data with an open question. Data was analyzed using the multi-response analysis. The results showed that spending exorbitant expenses on purchasing the ATM or POS sets and their maintenance were at top of represented issues by respondent experts. Besides, issues such as shortage of budget to set up an extensive banking network, the high cost of electronic resources, inflation, lack of interest to deposit the money, expensiveness of the e-payment sets and importing them, high maintaining expenditures for e-payment sets, cost consuming culture-building activities among public along with electronic transferring the money, high expenses of education and shortage of budget to train personnel and customers, high cost of monitoring and implementation of infrastructural e-banking plans, reducing labor force, rising unemployment and economic sanctions and banks problems were among the most important economic problems presented by experts.
