Effect of iron foliar application (Fe-EDDHA) on quantitative and qualitative characteristics of pomegranate CV. "Malas –e-Saveh"

Foliar application of Fe-EDDHA and its effect on yield and some quantitative and qualitative characteristics of Iranian pomegranate (CV. Malas-e-Saveh) were assessed. Some quantitative and qualitative characteristics of Iranian pomegranate (CV. Malas-e-Saveh) in the experimental field of Agricultural and Natural Resource Research Center of Saveh city, Markazi province, Iran in 2012 were evaluated. An experiment was carried out using a factorial complete randomize design (RCBD) with three replications. Results show that 2000 mg/l of foliar iron concentration have statistically differences with controls on Yield, Fruit Number, Fruit size, Total soluble solids (TSS), Total soluble solids to titratable acidity (TSS/TA) and dry weight in conclusion foliar iron with concentration of 2000 mg/l could increase the performance, the number of fruit per tree, fruit size, total soluble solids and dry weight in Pomegranate trees.
