Abstract :
Timber has long been the mainstay of Sabahʹs wealth. However, in more recent years, revenue from the timber sector has dwindled, and has been eclipsed by income from the palm oil industry. With the implementation of sustainable forest management, various measures are being taken to achieve a balance between timber production and forest conservation, including environment-friendly harvesting techniques such as reduced impact logging.(copy from article)
