Soil Cover Structure of the Northern Caucasus

The structure of the soil cover of the Northern Caucasus is analyzed. The main types and series of soil structures within the system of vertical zones, as well as factors and processes responsible for the soil cover differentiation, are revealed. Quantitative characteristics of the soil cover structure are given. Its main groups and kinds are differentiated with respect to possibilities and specific features of their practical use.
