Seedling survival under grazing in the arid perennial Acacia oswaldii Original Research Article

Recruitment of seedlings into a population of Acacia oswaldii is largely prevented by rabbits within Kinchega National Park in western NSW, Australia. The limited seedling recruitment that is occurring is frequently associated with seedlings that avoid grazing by growing inside the canopy of unpalatable shrubs such as Maireana pyramidata. Control of rabbits is important for increasing regeneration in this arid Acacia.
