Abstract :
This work describes a simulation model that allows easily designing the control of a 100 kW wind turbine. The Particle Swarm Optimization has been applied in the control tuning. One of the key design elements of a wind turbine is the control, because it affects directly the solicitation values on the structure. For the approach treated here, the control design is considered a step in the mechanical design of the wind turbine.
