Abstract :
A high resolution spectrum of the formaldehyde D2
12CO molecule in the range from 1780 to 2400 cmK1 has been recorded by a Fourier
transform infrared spectrometer. The measured region covers the stretching fundamental bands n1 and n5 and the first overtone and
combination bands 2n4, n4Cn6, 2n6, n3Cn4, n3Cn6, and 2n3 which correspond to double excitations of deformational quanta. About 9600
transitions were assigned to the eight mentioned vibrational bands. Preliminary analysis with J0!10 of the obtained assignments was made,
and the values of the band centers and the main rotational, centrifugal distortion, and resonance interaction parameters were estimated.
