Abstract
Lynne Howarth discusses her career as a cataloguer and
educator. Topics covered include important issues facing cataloguers
today; exciting trends–and also some discouraging developments–in
librarianship, cataloguing, and bibliographic control during the last
ten years, and the future of bibliographic control in the next ten years;
the challenges in overcoming the traditional view of librarians; and
