Abstract :
A Boltzmann-like model for the description of processes of outgassing and contamination is proposed. The cavity /oR2, where the contaminants migrate during their motion from the source region /oR1 to the target /oR3, contains a random medium.
Numerical simulation for the equations of the average densities of the contaminant particles in each of the three regions is derived. The numerical solution of such a system is compared with those of two approximated problems obtained by means of the so-called “atomic mix” and “small fluctuations” approximations.
